Further down the journey of emerging as the new self post-healing, the artist wanted to capture the sensation of freedom in overcoming old societal and familial programming. The colours and patterns in the work represent the 'old' and 'new' life of the artist, where both- green and pink- are often colours representative of the heart center, however visibly one feels heavy, rigid and restrictive, while the other is light in its chaos. Both of the artist's pursuits- the past and the current- come from the inner guidance and desire to create, however one simply came with too many negative implications.
